Kili at Great Falls Park

This our beloved yellow lab having fun at Great Falls Park in 2008. She is now almost 10 years old and has developed a challenging health condition. I’m happy to report that this morning she seems to have turned a corner and perhaps we have figured it out… but it has been a stressful week for us. We love her dearly (in fact, it was she who “introduced” my husband and I) and aren’t ready to say goodbye, but we want to do what is best for her.

Hard stuff, you know?

I realize this has nothing whatsoever to do with the purported purpose of this blog but its been a big thing on my mind lately…
